the fact that an fbi agent can't be in there yet is a crime in and of itself. this administration has a lot to answer for. they want the foreign policy to be the election policy and now it's front and center. >> eric: is the administration lying? is there a coverup? >> no, i don't think they are lying at all. i think their response is less than commanding. the first information you get from a crisis overseas is imperfect, wrong or it will change or a few days. it is not a question, that there were late to rolls release on friday afternoon, an update that, yes, this was a planned attack. but the defining issue is here the security of the compound. we know that the british ambassador, the united nations office and the red cross office in benghazi had been attacked recently, prior to the attack and the murder of our wonderful ambassador there. but the equivalent what have it costs to keep one member in afghanistan half a year is the protection we gave the consulate. who is to blame? i think the administration needs to take on board we are not protecting our warrio

why hasn't the fbi set foot on the crime scene? why was the white house so late in calling it a terrorist attack? why is there so much conflicting information coming in from the obama administration? just yesterday, the secretary of state hillary clinton spoke about an al qaeda group's link to extremists in benghazi specifically and seemed to tie it to the attack on the consulate. let me quote her. quote, for sometime, al qaeda in the islamic maghreb and other groups have launched attacks and kidnappings from noern mali. now with a larger safe haven and increased freedom to maneuver, terrorists are seeking to extend their reach and their networks in multiple directions and they are working with other violent extremists to undermine the democratic transitions under way in north africa as we tragically saw in benghazi. but, but a senior state department official later said mrs. clinton was speaking in more general terms. let me just provide a little context with fran townsend. you're a national security contributor and a member of th

we were back here in 2006 when fbi received what it believed to be a credible tip, and they dug at the horse farm quite a bit. they spent a lot of money doing so but didn't find anything. now they're working on another tip. as you can see what's going on just over our shoulder here, the digging has begun inside that shed. what the police department is doing with some expert help is digging a small hole in concrete inside there so they can fit in a drill to get a soil sample. then they hope to deliver that on monday to michigan state university to try to determine whether there are in fact human remains below there. the question of course is one of many questions. why do police think that the tipster in this case is credible? one reason why is that they said that he claimed that he saw what could have been a body being buried right here in this area around the same time that jimmy hoffa disappeared back in 1975. the police chief says the tipster never claimed that he saw jimmy hoffa being buried here, but the timing is in the vicinity of when that might have happened. number two, this m
